  • The powerful engine has four valves per cylinder, is equipped with turbocharging, intercooler, electronic control, cooling system, pre-heater and fuel injection. Massey Ferguson has introduced a completely new series of 8S tractors. The global presentation took place online at 15:15 Kyiv time.

The new series includes 4 models:

  • MF 8S.205 (205 hp)
  • MF 8S.225 (225 hp)
  • MF 8S.245 (245 hp)
  • MF 8S.265 (265 hp).

The AGCO Power 7.4 engine of the new range of tractors meets Stage V emission standards and provides maximum power at low speeds, reducing fuel consumption by 10%. Maximum torque is achieved at 1000 rpm and remains constant until 1500.

“Until 2021, new tractors will be produced with PowerShift Dyna7 and Dyna E-power transmissions with double grafting. In 2021, tractors with a continuously variable Dyna-VT transmission will also appear,” the material notes.

In addition, maximum traction with the soil is achieved thanks to a wheelbase of 3.05 m. The turning radius is 5.7 m. The new tractors use Trelleborg TM1000 tires.

The hydraulics have a power of 2.5 l/min and 5 spool valves. The lifting capacity of the rear linkage is 10 tons, which is 7% more than the previous line. The load capacity of the front linkage is 4.8 tons (+20% compared to the previous line).

The material indicates that the cabin received a new right armrest with a Datatronic 5 display, as well as a new display on the right pillar, and not in front of the steering wheel. For a better view of the driver, the windshield was tilted. Also new, the cabin has the highest sound insulation on the market. The noise level is 68 dB.

“We are absolutely confident that this tractor will fully meet the needs of customers for simple machines with a power of over 200 hp. Why are we sure of this? Because you and I began to carry out such development back in 2014. And you really helped us by taking part in the discussion, designing the tractors that you really need,” said the vice president and director of the Massey Ferguson brand, responsible for such regions like Europe and the Middle East by Thierry Lotte.

It took Massey Ferguson engineers about 1 million hours to develop the new series, of which 200 thousand hours went into testing and testing.

It is expected that the tractor will appear in Ukraine no earlier than 2021.

This device has the highest performance - which is worth the engine with a capacity of over 350 horsepower, as well as the high off-road potential of the wheeled chassis. The interior has all the necessary controls, including levers and switches, as well as a full-function color display showing important parameters. It's relatively quiet, comfortable and cozy inside, despite the obsessive rattling of the diesel engine. In general, you can talk in a low voice in the cabin. In addition, the cabin is quite spacious and there are no problems with visibility. Among the drawbacks of practicality, I note that the interior is too light, which quickly gets dirty. Well, I got this version, what can I do? In general, we have very few such machines, but they can replace several mini-tractors at once.

You feel a dose of pleasure from driving the Massey Ferguson 8737 tractor, its advanced systems, working parts and units that can be additionally installed.
