In 2013, restyling was carried out again, in which only the best characteristics of the car were collected. We worked on the driving characteristics and increased the size again. The latest model was presented in 2020.

Externally, the model will remain completely recognizable, but will receive modifications to the front. The presentation of the Peugeot Partner 2020 will take place before the end of 2020, and the commercial vehicle will go on sale next year. The interior of the Partner Tipi did not bring any revolutions either. Its style and architecture remained intact. Innovations include an expanded selection of upholstery options and an upgraded multimedia-navigation complex, the touch screen of which has become larger. The Peugeot Partner, as before, is built on a platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and a torsion beam at the rear. The engineers of the French company installed brake mechanisms with ventilated discs with a diameter of 283 mm on the front wheels, and with discs with a diameter of 268 mm on the rear wheels.

But more importantly from a practicality point of view, the luggage compartment volume of a compact van can vary from 642 to 2400 liters. The engine range of the Peugeot Partner Tepee has changed insignificantly after the restyling of the model. It, as before, contains both petrol and diesel units. In the first case, it is a 1.6-liter engine producing 90 hp. With. power and 132 Nm of torque, and in the second - 1.6-liter engines with power from 75 to 120 horsepower. In addition, at the beginning of 2020, the French have planned to expand the range with a 3-cylinder 110-horsepower engine, which, by the way, is destined to become the most economical. As for gearboxes, the most powerful, 120-horsepower engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while all others have a 5-speed manual transmission.

The trunk volume of the restyled version of the car is large. If you need to transport a large amount of cargo, you can remove the rear row of seats. Depending on your needs, you can remove one, two or three chairs at the same time. The trunk size will be 654 liters. This Peugeot Partner can be bought with mileage. The rear seats can be easily removed. Therefore, the transformation of the interior can be carried out quickly, without any effort. The trunk has a box above the door for storing small items. There was construction ahead.

At first I wanted a pickup truck. I wanted it so much that I even ordered it. And so the pickup truck was in the showroom, and I was hastily selling our X-Trail, but it was selling very slowly and cheaply. And then I looked at the situation soberly, putting my wishes aside. And I realized that the pickup would be useful to us when we moved to live outside the city. In the meantime, we live in a city with a narrow yard full of cars, and there is a construction site outside the city - we need something smaller, but more convenient for transporting ourselves, all sorts of small equipment, materials and other shmurdyak. This is how the “heel” came onto the agenda.

I actually chose from two options - Renault Kangoo and Peugeot Partner (aka Citroen Berlingo). Transit and Caddy are noticeably more expensive. The Partner won, since he had the Family package, and the showroom offered installments, so there was no need to sell the X-Trail; it was sold only later. In addition, compared to Kangu, Partner has one very pleasant and incredibly useful feature. The rear seats can be removed with a slight movement of the hand in 30 seconds. And a flat, hard floor with a loading volume of 3 cubic meters is formed. Shhh awesome.

Engine 1.6, 90 hp I specifically took it with the good old proven wad engine, which has withstood more than one reincarnation. Engine power and torque for driving on the highway and for traffic light racing are very small. You'll think ten times before overtaking. It’s hard to start in fast traffic; sometimes you fall behind those in front, but then you catch up. The gears are short, the 5th is already going great after 70 km/h. But on the first one you can drive in a traffic jam, as if on an automatic machine, without touching the clutch. Just drive at idle.

Fuel consumption is underwhelming as it's an old engine without all the newfangled stuff. The track is 8 liters with air conditioning and music. City - depending on how dense the traffic jams are, you can eat 15 or 20 if you can barely crawl. But on average, I think, 12-13 liters in the city. In mixed mode: highway (85%) + city (15%) - a little more than 9 liters per hundred. Tank 60 liters.

The shape and height of the body lead to the inevitable. If there is a side wind on the highway, it will sail. Comfortable speed is 110. And in terms of fuel consumption too.

The fawn accelerates slowly. But it slows everyone down to the envy of everyone. Very grippy, informative and effective brakes.

You have to understand that this is a purely utilitarian car. In fact, a delivery van adapted for “civilian” needs. Therefore, you should not expect business class comfort and decent sound insulation from it. By the way, the engine sound insulation is still decent. But there is noise from the street. In addition I didn’t invest in Shumka; I think it’s unjustified to overload a hard worker with extra weight.

The suspension is quite soft and quite short-travel. Strange pendant. It seems like there’s nothing to scold for, but nothing to praise either. Unassembled - this is probably more accurate. The civilian modification was made with an emphasis on some kind of comfort. But a long-travel suspension on such a high boom means there is a risk of capsizing. So something strange happened. Over minor bumps it goes softly and smoothly, but if you come across a temperature gap on the highway - BANG with all your might, just have time to change your diapers. It’s not for nothing that people put back the springs from the cargo version - the result is a less wobbly suspension. And now the loaded driver has to drive very, very carefully, so as not to get hit or hit with his belly. By the way, I tried not to overload. Me, my wife and 400 kg is the maximum.

A few words about the Family package. This includes air conditioning, 4 airbags, standard parking sensors and all sorts of family little things. Like, a back seat in the middle that turns into a table, some kind of ski racks and the like. I took Family primarily because of the pillows. I would also like curtains, but, alas, Partners do not have such a thing. Well, as a “reward” for choosing the configuration, I received light-colored seat upholstery, which gradually turns into spotty under construction conditions. Now it’s too late to “drink Borjomi”, then I’ll do the dry cleaning and at least hang some T-shirt covers.

Another advantage. The car steers very decently for its class, the steering wheel is not heavy, the turning radius is small, and the standard parking sensors are very helpful when maneuvering. Sliding rear doors are a THING. The seating is more like a “bus” one, I like it, I don’t get tired, I can spend many hours in the car.

Among the shortcomings - I would like the front overhang to be shorter, it won’t fit all curbs. The interior volume of the cabin is large, so in extreme heat you have to turn on air recirculation and set the air conditioner to the minimum temperature and the fan to three. Then it cools down.

Music. It exists - and thank you for that. It understands MP3, but there is no USB, I cut discs the old fashioned way. Radio reception outside the city is poor. I liked the paddle shifters, much more convenient than the buttons on the steering wheel. Investing in music without full noise is pointless, and I already wrote about noise.

When construction and development of the site began in full swing, that’s when the hard-working fawn revealed its potential. Bringing a walk-behind tractor, vibrating plate, concrete mixer, lawn mower is a nonsense matter. Throwing a circular saw, a grinder, a screwdriver, a grinder, a hammer drill, and a set of tools into the trunk and finding that there is plenty of space left is worth a lot. If only you knew how much material he transported! We have a construction market a kilometer from the site, which is very convenient. Concrete mixture, insulation, tiles, etc., etc. Anyone who built it knows: something is always needed, something is always missing. And here I once again realized that I was not mistaken in abandoning the pickup truck for now. A fawn, compared to a pickup truck, has a very low loading height. We put some heavy things (walk-behind tractor, vibrating plate) in the trunk even together with my wife. We wouldn’t be able to drag them into the back of a pickup truck; we would have to come up with some kind of mechanization or ask/pay every time.

We haven’t had any problems or failures, ugh three times so far. In severe frosts it always started right away. We also did not observe any problems with the suspension (many complain that the suspension rattles due to a design flaw). In cold weather, the suspension freezes and at first it creaks and groans until it warms up - that’s the thing. I change the oil and all filters every 10 thousand, not paying attention to the regulations. It can be painfully dusty on the roads near Moscow.

While construction is underway, I don’t see an alternative to Pyzhik. And construction, as you know, is not a quick job. By the time you complete the last one, the first one needs to be repaired. So for now we will drive and carry, carry, carry.

Inside, after restyling, almost nothing has changed in the model. This is not surprising, because there was no generational change. In addition, the modification of the car’s interior took place not so long ago; therefore, improving the interior is not necessary. The driver, getting into the car, immediately grabs the comfortable steering wheel. There are no unnecessary or superfluous buttons on it, and there is nothing left on it at all, except for the horn. Behind the steering wheel there is an interesting instrument panel with bright lighting. The center console is very fresh. Now it has a multimedia system, which is also equipped with a large diagonal monitor. Thanks to it, it became possible to manage a large number of additional functions.

Next to this monitor there are interesting air vents, as well as buttons for controlling the climate control system and other additional functions. The front row of seats in the Peugeot Partner 2020, as well as the back row, amazes with its comfort and softness. Everything is done very high quality and conscientiously. All this is done to ensure that passengers feel as comfortable as possible inside the car. The rear row of seats can be folded and even removed. Thanks to this, the new product creates a huge amount of free space in the luggage compartment. The trunk is large, even for a minivan body, and the van has even more substantial cargo space.

It’s a pleasant fact that after the restyling, the price tags for the new product changed very modestly. But the truth is that this only applies to the Peugeot Partner 2020 in the back of a minivan. Now this car costs from 600,000 rubles in the minimum version. In a more expensive configuration and with a different power plant, the model from France costs from 700,000 rubles. Unfortunately, the exchange rate in Russia is now very unstable, so this may negatively affect the cost of the new item. One can fully assume that this car will cost much more than, for example, two years ago. And this is not at all due to the update.

Let’s say right away that outwardly the car began to look much better than its predecessor. Although the restyling is not global, the designers paid serious attention to external aspects. After all, here we see a completely new false radiator grille, a different front bumper, and modernized optics. In general, I would like to talk about headlights in more detail. They are, in fact, a decoy, since these sections house compact round fog lights, and right above them are horizontal LED strips that act as daytime running lights. This architecture makes it possible to provide a very attractive “face” to the car.

Design

Peugeot has always been famous for its creative design ideas. The appearance of the Peugeot Partner Tepee is quite memorable - a smiling silhouette, triangular headlights and a huge bumper with a silver insert.

The hood of the car is very flat and compact, which causes some inconvenience during maintenance. However, this is more than compensated for by the huge windshield. The visibility of the French “heel” is simply gorgeous, as noted by the owners’ reviews. The Peugeot Partner Tipi has a black roof with roof rails. A panorama setting is available as an option.
